Paradise in Italia

Boat Tour in Capris

The past week we went camping in Sorrento, Italy and it was exactly what I imagine paradise to be. However, getting there was the most stressful traveling we have experienced thus far. Lots of waiting around and sprinting to catch the next/last bus was experienced on our way to camp. After a long day of traveling we finally made it to camp where we had no wifi unless we went into to town so we were completely disconnected from reality for the most part while camping on top of a mountain along the Sorrento Coast of Italy.

Our camp site had a private beach and a pool so we saw no need to leave at all. We were able to take a boat from our beach to the incredibly stunning Isle of Capri. We spent the day on boats traveling around the island and of course checked out the famous Blue Grotto where we both "fell in" the cave and went for a swim in the majestic blue waters. We then had a fancy lunch on the Island, because everything in Capri is fancy. We were apparently sitting next to one of the most famous Fashion Designers in Italy but honestly I was too focused on my Pizza to care. After lunch we headed to the beach before we had to catch our next boat ride. While riding back to camp snapping photos of the insane beauty that surrounded me I couldn't help but day dream of the day I have my own boat and sail around the world with my future pup and do exactly what I love; capture the beauty of the world we hustle & bustle in. Capri was a special day for us and I will forever be thankful for the time we spent there.

The rest of the week we spent our days at the beach and pool soaking up every second of the incredible views that surrounded us. I was able to get a few runs in which tested me mentally & physically. I was basically forced to run up and down mountains which is something my body is not use to so I had to make sure not to psych myself out. These were some of the most therapeutic runs I have ever had, sure they were the most challenging but the views at the end served as a the best reward (well next to all the gelato that came after).

Our last night we decided to give our resort's restaurant staff a break from our lovely company and go into town for dinner. We fancied ourselves up & hiked down the mountain where we had as Samantha describes, "the fanciest BFF date ever."  We ate at the most famous waterfront authentic Italian restaurant in Sorrento where we ate like Queens because I mean thats what we are. After dinner while eating more gelato we danced in the streets to the music that filled the city, it was such a Mama Mia moment… and don't you worry our musical will be coming out next Summer "Samara Mia," which sums up all of our time in the magical land of Sorrento, Italia. :p

Now here we are its Day 23 & we are currently in historical ROMA on our second to last stop… I have spent every single day doing what I love while constantly learning and discovering new things about the world & myself. All I can think about right now is how the next 10 days are going to be extremely special.

Until we meet again,
